ClearUp AI ("we", "the Service") provides an AI-powered super-resolution tool. This page explains what happens to the photos you upload and what data is collected when you use the Service.
1. What we process
When you upload a photo and click "1-Click AI Upscale", the image is sent from your browser to our own server, which forwards it to a third-party AI image processing provider to generate the upscaled result — this is the only data transfer required to provide the service. The processed image is returned directly to your browser; beyond that, we do not display it anywhere else or share it with any other third party.
2. We do not permanently store your photos
Our own infrastructure does not write uploaded or generated images to a database or persistent storage. Images exist only for the duration of the request needed to process them.
3. Third-party AI processing and model training
We currently use a third-party AI provider's service. Under its terms, submitted images may be used by that provider to train and improve their models. We do not control or have visibility into how long that data is retained on their side.
If this concerns you, please do not upload photos that contain identity documents, financial information, or other sensitive personal data.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's localStorage only to remember your language and light/dark theme preference on this device. No tracking cookies or analytics identifiers are set by this site.
5. Your choices
- Avoid uploading photos containing sensitive personal information.
- Clear your browser's local storage at any time to reset saved preferences.
- Contact us if you have questions about how your image was processed.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this page as the Service or its underlying AI provider changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
